WOT: Why my Bricklink store does not sell overseas
Well, I have done an exception recently, and yet again this is my Bad Experience with forex loss with paypal.
Here is why NOT again.
If you understand how my store works, buyer only pay for actual postage to whatever country (I would go get a quote from local post office) and adding in a percent for Paypal seller's charges. All these sounds fine in a deal, but let's understand more...
Hi xxxxx,
Please find the Quote.
Weight of package: 157.5 grams
Cost of package to Germany: S$12.35
Courier: Singapore Post (National Post)
Payment method: Paypal
Additional charges for Paypal: 4.4% of total Order + S$0.50
https://www.paypal.com/sg/webapps/mpp/paypal-seller-fees
Items: xxxxx
Qty: 40 pieces
Total: S$14.00
Estimated Order total for your consideration.
S$14.00 + S$1.17 + S$12.35 = Singapore Dollar $27.52
Warm Regards,
And so the buyer agreed to pay for the package. Paypal was the gateway to receive payment and was frequently used to pay for my purchases from overseas. This order was billed in Singapore Dollar, and so I would only make senses I need any balance in paypal to be in US Dollar or Euro.
I requested the payment in Euro. And so the transaction when thru, and I receive Euro in my paypal account.
And so in summary:
Bricklink order in total would be in S$27.58
But due to wonderful paypal conversion rate, I would only receive S$23.82 to be used for my next purchase.
Why is this happening?
So until my brain could process such loss with Bricklink's order, I would never process with another overseas request.
Thank you for the understanding.

The Surprising Truth About Bricksworld AFOL MOC Competition
But.. did you ever observed the entries by some individual looks familiar? Have I ever seen it somewhere before?
Let's review the entry
BW Entry Link
Where have I seen this before?
Original entry was from Robert Lundmark, submitted for Lego Ideas UCS Rey´s Speeder 2 years ago.
The Ideas project however was Not Approved.
The original entry and pictures for comparison can be found HERE

Where have I seen this before?
Just go buy the instructions from ebay at USD 20. How is this called original MOC?
And this is not the first time Lego Certified Store Bricksworld's failed in her diligent to check for plagiarism. The following entry was also accepted and displayed in LCS store in earlier MOC competition.

Where have I seen this before?
The original Lester minifigure was designed and retail by Taiwan Mocer Helen Sham under Helen Sham Figures in Oct 2017, You may buy the complete figure with instruction from her website.
The original entry and pictures for comparison can be found HERE
It is a shame that competition entry were submitted and claimed to be their own design without giving credits to the originator. But when doing so, it also means these entries will not be eligible to join the MOC competition.
Perhaps this is yet another of Bricksworld lousy Spot The Difference contest
